NU'EST adalah salah satu boyband asal Korea Selatan di bawah naungan agensi Pledis Entertainment. Mereka adalah boyband pertama Pledis Ent. NU'EST merupakan akronim dari New Established Style and Tempo. Konsep musik mereka disebut sebagai urban elektro.

Sebelum debut resmi, member Aron, Minhyun, Ren,
 dan Baekho adalah back dancer untuk girlband After School Blue dalam MV Wonder Boy. Sementara member JR tampil dalam lagu debut UEE After School, Sok Sok Sok. Mereka memulai debut tak resmi kedua pada 29 Desember 2011 dengan melalukan shuffle dance bersama After School dalam SBS Gayo Daejun 2011.

NU"EST memulai debut di dunia musik Korea pada 15 Maret 2012 dalam program musik M! Countdown dengan menampilkan lagu I'm Sorry dan Face. Debut single mereka dibuat oleh penulis lagu asal Swedia, Daniel Bergman. Member Ren dan Minhyun memulai debut di catwalk dalam acara Seoul Fashion Week, 7 April 2012.
